I wrote this song recalling how it used to be when I had a crush on some girl and just wanted to spend time with her. It didn't really matter what we were doing. Just hanging out. Maybe listening to music, playing in the rain, dancing like fools. It's a song about young love and innocence. Youthful desire without really knowing anything about desire at all.

Come on out and splash around in the rain. I'm out here looking like a fool. He starts by playing songs while his guitar is getting ruined in the rain. Hopefully, she'll notice and come to her window to see what's going on. And if things really go right, she'll come out and dance with him in the rain!

I think I would classify this in the Singer/Songwriter genre maybe leaning a little toward Rock. Probably comparable to artists like James Taylor, Ed Sheeran, Bob Seger and others.
