I've always loved this song and decided to record my version of it. Gregg Allman told the story in an article of how he came to name this song. Long story short, he named it after a little girl in a convenience store. Good article. Look it up sometime and in the meantime, please enjoy my version of "Sweet Melissa".

Hope you enjoy it as much as I had fun recording it!
I've always loved this song whether the Old Crow Medicine Show version or Darius Rucker's version - I think both are superb.
